Nuplex Contractors Federation is a
legally incorporated society governed by a formal constitution
and managed by an Executive Committee comprising
representatives from all sectors of the industry and all areas
of New Zealand.
In 1968, with the support of the manufacturer (then trading
as Revertex), existing applicators already sourcing specialist
finishes were encouraged to amalgamate to form a group known
as the Revertex Applicators Federation – later to become the
Nuplex Contractors Federation following a company name change
in 1991.
From small beginnings with 13 foundation members the
Federation has prospered and strengthened to a membership of
around 200 contractor members spread throughout New Zealand.
The Federation is now recognised as New Zealand’s largest body
of licensed contractors.
Membership of the Federation provides a fellowship of
contractors with common interests and expertise, regular
exchange of information and experience, and cooperation on
large-scale construction projects.
All work undertaken by Federation members is backed by The
Protection Fund set up and funded by members to implement
contractual or warranty commitments should a member cease to
operate. Members are encouraged to attend training programmes
to keep their skill levels at the forefront of the industry
and are regularly audited to ensure the standards of
workmanship remain high.
